DECISIONS

DECISIONS

This initial stage is vital for Leapher Yachts to understand your vision and intended use for the yacht. It may include meetings on your current yacht, in your home or office, or at events such as yacht shows. You may already have a designer, or Leapher Yachts may be your starting point for this project. After narrowing down your choices to a few suitable builders, the next step would be a tour of the shipyard facilities.

During the tour, you’ll have the opportunity to understand Leapher Yachts’ strengths, values, and capabilities. Additionally, where allowed, you may observe projects in progress and meet with top management, ensuring alignment on your vision.
From this moment, your journey with Leapher Yachts to craft your dream yacht begins. You have full creative control over the exterior and interior, choosing from refined existing designs or creating a bespoke style that reflects your personality and taste. Leapher’s collaborative approach allows for ultimate flexibility, providing the technical standards and expertise to bring your vision to life. Our team handles the technicalities, leaving you to focus on the exciting parts of the design.

Every space can be customized to suit your lifestyle, incorporating state-of-the-art technology and personalized entertainment features to enhance your onboard experience.

DESIGN DEVELOPMENT

Leapher Yachts will prepare an initial proposal detailing production timelines, estimated delivery, and a cost range, alongside preliminary blueprint plans. This proposal serves as a comparison tool, helping you take the next step toward a commitment by signing a Letter of Intent (LOI).

LOI formally outlines the preliminary understanding between you and Leapher Yachts, covering key aspects like pricing, timelines, and responsibilities, with the intention to proceed towards a final agreement.
After signing the LOI, this phase delves deeper into realizing your vision through creative brainstorming with the Leapher team, designers, and naval architects. During this phase, we define performance parameters, carry out pre-engineering assessments, and gather quotes from Leapher’s suppliers and partners. This helps finalize the pricing and prepare the yacht-building agreement (YBA).

ENGINEERING

Work on the YBA begins after the LOI is signed, ensuring a smooth and timely progression of the project. The YBA includes the main contract, technical specifications, general arrangement (GA) plans, a construction schedule, and a list of key decisions that will arise during the build. This alignment provides clarity and sets the stage for construction to commence.
A significant part of the engineering process, known as ‘basic engineering,’ occurs before signing the YBA. This phase ensures the project’s technical and legal feasibility. During this stage, Leapher’s engineering team converts design concepts into detailed workshop drawings. Once engineering is finalized, procurement begins, sourcing all elements required for construction.

CONSTRUCTION

Keel laying marks the official start of the yacht’s construction, serving as the symbolic foundation of the vessel. During the keel laying ceremony, the first section of the keel is positioned, signifying the transition from planning to physical construction.
The hull and superstructure are constructed and later joined in what’s known as the ‘marriage’ phase. Leapher Yachts builds the hull and superstructure in parallel, usually using steel for the hull and lightweight materials for the superstructure. This construction phase can involve several hundred workers over many months to bring the vessel to life.

OUTFITTING

Once the hull and superstructure are united, the yacht is moved to the outfitting stage, where machinery, piping, and essential systems are installed. Exterior outfitting also includes painting, glass installation, and setting up exterior elements like railings, teak decking, and furniture.

The interior outfitting phase transforms the yacht’s spaces into a luxurious retreat. This phase involves installing custom furniture, lighting, and technology, tailored to your specific tastes. Each room is crafted to meet the highest standards of luxury, ensuring your yacht is a sanctuary on the water.

DELIVERY

Commissioning involves rigorous testing to confirm that all systems meet operational standards. During sea trials, Leapher’s team demonstrates the yacht’s performance and functionality, ensuring it meets the agreed specifications. Once complete, the yacht is ready for final delivery.
Leapher Yachts provides a warranty period after delivery, during which any performance adjustments or nonconformities are resolved. Additionally, Leapher offers ongoing support for maintenance, refits, and enhancements to ensure your yacht remains in top condition throughout its life.
